Dec. 1, 2014 is World AIDS Day. Several HPP projects organized education and awareness-raising events on HIV prevention and control.

1. The EU Delegation in China - HPP Butuo TCE project conducted a large educational event on the streets of Butuo. Let’s get into action and move forwards to “0 AIDS”!

2. World Bank – HPP Yuexi County Reproductive Health and HIV/AIDS Education project, Yuexi County Women Federation and Yuexi Health Bureau, co-launched the HIV prevention event in Xihe village, Matuo Township.

The township Head, president of township Women Federation and county Women Federation, HPP project officer all made presentations.
500 calendars, 500 pamphlets about HIV prevention and 800 condoms have been distributed in this event.

After this event, the project team, HPP China director and senior officer and the office director of Yuexi County Women Federation visited health center of Matuo village, talked with the doctor to know the HIV/AIDS prevention and control situation in Matuo village and discussed about the cooperation in the future.

Follow-up: on Dec.02, HPP China, Yuexi county Health Bureau, Yuexi Women Federation, Yuexi CDC, Yuexi Maternal and Child Health service centre co-held a meeting to further smoothen and strengthen the implementation of the World Bank –HPP Yuexi project.







3. Carrefour- HPP Fengdu Farmers’ Clubs project and Baoluan Township Central Hospital co-launched the educatio and awareness-raising event on HIV and other common disease prevention and control in Honghuapo village. About 200 households learnt the knowledge at site and got the pamphlet or flyers. We hope all the villagers stay healthy and live long!
