The newly released No. 1 Document of the Central Committee of the CPC in 2023 once again proposed the implementation of women's actions for rural revitalization and youth talent development actions, which once again emphasized the importance of women's power for the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy.

As early as 2018, the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) issued the Opinions on the Implementation of the Women's Action on Rural Revitalization, pointing out that women are an important force in promoting agricultural and rural modernization, as well as beneficiaries, promoters and builders of rural revitalization.

Women's power in rural revitalization cannot be ignored. They are not only "Half the Sky".

In the HPP Nanjiang Village Sustainable Livelihood Development Project, women are empowered, women's participation in production and life and self-development ability are enhanced, and women leaders are selected to guide women to actively participate in community development and rural revitalization.

After more than two years of implementation of the project, women in Nanjiang village actively participated in production and construction, and learned about women's health, early childhood education, laws related to women's rights, interpersonal communication skills and other knowledge and content in the training and activities of the women's action group organized by the project. In 2022, more than 40 percent of the women in the village actively participated in the training and activities organized by the project, and the evaluation of women's public speaking has increased from 0 points at the beginning of the project to 8 points.

They have become an indispensable force in the revitalization of Nanjiang Village. 

What did we do about women's capacity building and self-development:

Ø We set up an action group for women and children development.

Ø We mobilized women to become the leaders of the family health improvement action.

Ø We encouraged women to speak freely and share their experiences, skills, and opinions, and become the core team leader.

Ø We improved knowledge on women's health, parenting, legal and financial matters.

Ø We regularly organized women activities, arouse the enthusiasm of women, such as for dam dance. 

March 8, 2023. Today is a special day for women to thank them for their dedication to family building, community development and rural revitalization. 

At the same time, our FC Nanjiang Project, together with the village party branch and the two committees of Nanjiang Village and the Women's Federation, carried out the theme activity of "Healthy Women · Fragrant Nanjiang" on the 2023 Women's Day in Nanjiang Village, Lizi Township, Fengdu County, to further enhance the village women's awareness of healthy life, enrich women's spiritual and cultural life, and create a social atmosphere of respect and care for women. In order to carry forward the fine traditions and virtues of women, the "most beautiful mother-in-law" and "most beautiful daughter-in-law" were selected throughout the village. 

Since ancient times, women have played an indispensable role with gentleness, tenacity, kindness and strength. Give more attention and support to women, they are no longer just "half the sky".

As the whole country is vigorously promoting rural revitalization, HPP will join hands with more women and participate in rural production and revitalization. 

Project introduction:

The sustainable livelihood development project is implemented in Nanjiang Village, Fengdu County, Chongqing. The International Humana People to People Movement (Switzerland) Chongqing Representative Office implements the project in cooperation with Fengdu County Poverty Alleviation and Development Office. Starting from February 1, 2020, the project cycle is three years. Through the establishment of farmer mutual aid groups and core groups, the project distributes high-quality rice seeds to villagers to carry out an ecological rice pilot, plants fruit trees, raises free-land chickens, organizes training for villagers, establishes a sales brand and direct marketing cooperative and internet marketing platform, so as to help villagers develop appropriate industries and drive economic income growth. While fundamentally promoting rural development, the project also focuses on improving the awareness of rural women, mobilizing their enthusiasm, doing a good job in household sanitation, and promoting the construction of living ecological environment. At the same time, we should develop productions with women as the main force and encourage them to actively participate in the construction of productive activities at home and in rural areas.
