China Tomorrow Education Foundation’ (CTEF), which has for many years focused on improving the education level in China's rural areas so that rural children can receive quality education and grow into qualified talents useful to society, joined hands with Planet Aid Inc, and HPP China in July 2022 to help 50 rural preschool teachers in Qiaojia County, Yunnan Province.
By supporting teachers' medical insurance and accident insurance, the project helps teachers to stabilize their work and life and eliminate worries. It encourages the development and improvement of teachers' teaching ability and supports them to obtain professional or academic certificates; it sets up teacher experience workshops, carries out year-end summary activities, and strengthens mutual learning and communication among teachers.
The ‘Teachers of Tomorrow Support Program’ for preschool teachers not only solves their difficulties, but also eliminates worries.
"Lack of corresponding basic preschool education knowledge and teaching skills, low wages, little welfare and security" - is a common problem facing these rural teachers. They, mostly from their own villages, are willing to live in the village for a long time, but low wages and inadequate security might force them to make other choices, such as migrating out for work. The flow of teachers ultimately cannot guarantee the stability of rural preschool education.
The introduction of Teachers of Tomorrow Support Program, on the basis of the Preschools of the Future (POF) project, aims to achieve all-round support for teacher growth and improve teacher security.
At present, the project has been launched for half a year. 50 temporary teachers from POF in Qiaojia County have obtained the accident insurance and medical insurance purchased by the project, and participated in the project activities of personal ability improvement.
Compared with before, due to more security and attention, they become more enthusiastic, more active, and strive to contribute to the cause of rural early childhood education.
Scattered all over the sky is a fire, thanks to the support of CTEF, which hand in hand with HPP illuminates and warms the Yunnan mountain villages and supports these teachers and children in order to strive for ideals and beliefs!
