Tengchong POF teacher observation and learning activities

In order to further improve the professional quality and teaching ability of the preschool teachers, Tengchong Preschools of the Future Project organized 10 preschool teachers from 4 towns to visit the Tengchong No. 1 Kindergarten Peiqing Campus for observation and learning.

This time we observed children's morning exercise activities, kindergarten corridor culture and environment creation, children's art activities, educational corner activities and more.

Since September 2018, HPP has worked with the local education and sports bureau, - based on the local education development policies - to improve the quality of preschool teachers in remote rural areas, and carry out reasonable preschool class management to help improve the overall level of preschool education in the local area. The project reached eight townships and 26 village-level kindergartens with 48 preschool classes in Tengchong City, benefiting more than 1,600 children and 52 teachers.

Through continuous support for village teachers, Tengchong Preschools of the Future Project aims to gradually narrow the gap between village preschool and city kindergartens through project support, and provide fair and high-quality preschool education services for rural preschool children.

The project not only provides planned training for village preschool teachers to comprehensively improve the ability of village temporary teachers in all aspects, but also improves the ability of teachers in all aspects through systematic curriculum arrangement, thus injecting new vitality and improvement into village preschool education. At the same time, the project continues to equip the village preschool with a variety of play and teaching aids suitable for the development of children, completely changing the situation of scarcity in the past, so that children can learn and grow up happily through play and experiences.

Observation and learning activities are important activities of the project. In order to broaden the vision and improve the teaching ability, the project organized the study visit to the No, 1 Kindergarten.

In this observation and learning, rural preschool teachers have gained a lot.

They carefully watched the children's morning exercise activities, from which they realized how to stimulate children's vitality and teamwork spirit through morning exercise; they observed the kindergarten corridor culture and environment creation exhibition, so that they understand the potential impact of the environment on the growth of children and how to create a rich educational space; by watching art activities in the kindergarten class, they have learned effective ways to guide children to develop creativity and express themselves; the observation of the educational corner activities made them master how to cultivate children's independent exploration and social ability through corner activities.

Through this activity, rural preschool teachers have learned a lot of valuable knowledge and experience. This is of great benefit to improving their education and teaching level, so that they can bring their knowledge and methods back to rural preschools, and provide better education services for rural children. This way of observing and learning has achieved remarkable results, which has effectively promoted the development of rural early childhood education and created better learning conditions for rural children.

After the observation activity, our teachers sat down with the kindergarten teachers to discuss their observations. Kindergarten teachers shared their experiences in daily teaching and how to adjust teaching methods according to the characteristics and needs of children. They have a good understanding of each child's personality and are able to teach each child according to its potential.

The inspiration and experience brought by this observation and learning activity, planted a seed of hope into the hearts of these preschool teachers. We believe that they will translate what they have learned into practical actions and bring a new atmosphere to rural preschool education.

Let us hope that these teachers can create a better educational future for rural preschool children, and let the light of fair and high-quality preschool education illuminate the growth of every child.

We understand that rural preschool education has a long way to go, and our project is exploring and trying various ways and means to improve the quality of rural early childhood education and promote the development of rural preschool education!

 

Project introduction:

Tengchong POF is funded by Tin Ka Ping Foundation, and HPP cooperates with Tengchong Education and Sports Bureau to assist in the implementation of the "One village, One preschool" policy. The project takes early education as the entry point, improves the hardware facilities and teaching aids of preschool classes and organizes professional and systematic training for teachers regularly. The project team regularly supervises preschool classes to help teachers solve difficulties and problems in daily teaching activities. In addition, the preschool classes have set up the parent committee, carried out parent training and promoted preschool-home co-education. The project focuses on game-based teaching, provides tools such as teacher management kits and teaching materials, improves the coverage of preschool education in rural areas, and improves the quality of preschool education in rural areas, so that more children can receive high-quality preschool education.
