On 4th August 2015, “The World Bank—HPP China Yuexi County Population and Productive Health and HIV/AIDS Publicity Project” (TCE Yuexi) conclusion conference had been held in Yuexi County to summarize and share this one year project’s work.

The conference started with Agen Riga’s (Project Leader) presentation about the project’s content and result. This warm ethnic Yi young man thanked all the people who have been supporting this project from the bottom of his heart. He was very emotionally engaged when he talked about these 39 people who are HIV positive and referral to local clinic. On one hand, he thinks his work is valuable; on the other hand, he really wishes this number was ZERO…
Later, Ms Wang, Deputy Director of County Health Bureau, Ayi Zizha Vice President of County Women's Federation, Ms Xiong, Director of County Maternal and Health Care Center, Ms Yang, Chief of STD AIDS Department, Mr Shen, Director of Matuo Township Clinic, - they gave all impressive speeches on our recognized project, and they believed that TCE model is very effective. They hope we could keep this project to be continued in Yuexi. They are grateful that many people have more awareness and positive attitude because of the project.

Moreover, there were 7 Field Officers and Passionates coming from the TCE project frontline to the conference. Their speeches were very excited, indignant and heartfelt. They’ve made a difference to the local situation; also the project has changed them as well. The youngest Field Officer Qumu Nigumo who is only 23 years old. I heard that she used to be very shy in the beginning of the project, and was reluctant to talk to strangers; I am meeting her for the first time one year since she has worked in the project, I couldn’t believe what I heard was true.

We have the faith to keep this project continue, to train more Field Officers to spread out positive information and mobilize more Passionates. To realize “Zero AIDS” in reality, not only in words.
