On 17th June 2015, “Bayer China Rural Development Project” conclusion conference was held in Wanzhou District, Chongqing. China Poverty Alleviation and Development Centre (CPAD), Bayer China LTD, Humana People to People China (HPPC), Chongqing Poverty Alleviation Office (CPAO), Wanzhou District People's Government (WDPG) and Wanzhou District Poverty Alleviation Office (WDPAO) attended this conference.
 
Mr. Jiang Zuqing (Vice Director of CPAO) pointed out that this project was introduced by CPAD in 2012, and this is the first poverty alleviation project in Chongqing supported by foreign funding, which is implemented collaboratively by world-famous enterprises and NGO together. By the end of 2014, this three years project had contributed a total of 5 million rmb, benefited more than 4000 people of 1200 households, and helped 1500 impoverished people overcome poverty.
 
Mr. Cao Hongmin (Director of CPAD) pointed out that it’s impossible to make the great achievements happen without all the parties’ support. We’ve gained valuable experience which could replicated and promoted in the future.
WDPAO reported the implementation of the project, which was followed by a speech made by Ms. Zhu Lixian, the President of Bayer Group China. On this special occasion, Ms.Zhu on behalf of the Bayer Group donated office equipment to WDPAO.
 
Michael Hermann, the China representative of Humana People to People, thanked CPAD, Bayer China LTD and the local government for their long term trust and support and emphasized the success and importance of letting villagers themselves decide the project activities based on their local needs. 
 
Mr. Zhang Jianguo (Deputy District Head of WDPG) made a welcoming speech on behalf of Wanzhou District Government. Other attendees also gave wonderful speeches; village representatives expressed their thanks to Bayer.
