The weather was still hot on the second day of the Shenzhen Charity Fair on 20 September 2014.

8:30 AM,B041-046 Exhibition Stand. HPP staff arrived at the exhibition booth beginning to decorate the venue for the day. Three staff were preparing for the salon event which was about to start in one hour. This was the first time that HPP hosted a salon. The staff was a little bit nervous, hoping for a successful event.

9:00 AM, at the second district of the salon located at Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center Hall 1. During the time the sun was strong and shining through the transparent roof on the salon district. The Organizing Committee volunteers asked HPP staff if they wanted to be replaced to the downstairs, in order to avoid the impacts of strong sunshine on viewers watching the projector. Ms.
Zhu  Wendan, promotion officer of HPP, considered that temporary replacement might make troubles to the already informed guests in finding the activity place, so she decided to remain in place and to wait for the arrival of the guests and the audience.

9:30 AM, at the second district of the salon located at Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center Hall 1. The salon "Community preschool education model sharing-Preschools of the Future Project as an example" officially began. Ms. Han Xu, the senior Partnership Officer of HPP, introduced briefly the procedure of the salon but at that time there were few viewers. With the Country Representative Michael Hermann introducing the importance of early childhood development and Han Xu introducing HPP preschool education model progress, more and more audiences arrived.

At 10:00 AM, the salon started discussion section. Ms. Chen Yuanyuan, Brand Project Director of Tencent Foundation, Ms. Chen Xi, Qidian Project Director of China Charities Aid Foundation for Children and Ms. Xue Qing, Project Officer of China Merchants Charitable Foundation shared their respective experience on the subject of rural preschool education and their cooperation with Humana People to People preschool projects. At this time the audience numbers peaked. 25 seats had to accommodate 45 audiences. Audiences without seats had to stand listening. All audiences showed great interests and actively participated in Q&A and discussions.

At 10:30AM, the salon ended on time. The audience continued to ask questions, ask for materials and discuss outside the venue.

According to volunteers, the HPP salon activities had hosted the biggest audience so far. They were very surprised at the full number of audiences. The HPP staff felt very satisfied and thanked everyone for their attention and support to rural preschool education. Thanks to the great opportunity that the Committee gave us to host this salon event we are looking forward to having another chance to discuss with people from all walk of like on the topic!
