Kunming East No. 1 Primary School was founded in 1961. It is a full-time primary school with an area of 11,531 square meters and a building area of 6,274 square meters. In the autumn semester of 2021, there will be 38 classes, 1,928 students and 112 teachers.  The university has 73 provincial, municipal, district and university-level academic leaders and key teachers, including 2 provincial, 2 city-level academic leaders, 6 city-level, 30 district-level and 33 university-level teachers.  In 1986, it was rated as provincial Experimental Primary School.
